Intro

I am not your traditional Lutheran Mom, I am an everyday person who isn't perfect, trying to provide the best I can for my 2 boys. I used to be in what seemed like a great relationship with my children's father. We owned a home, I worked part time as the children's choir director at my church, we went to family and community events......however things were not black and white, they were not always what they seemed. It was a hard decision to make but I know God didn't want me in an unhealthy relationship that left me feeling like I was worth nothing. The day I left all sorts of doors opened up for me, things happen that only would if God was making it happen. The Lord has blessed me in so many ways. I now have returned to college to finish a music AA and I hope to get a BA in worship arts next. I also run a successful blog, Crochet Chiq which helps me to provide for my family. In this blog I plan to share everyday type life events,  mom tips, crafts and reviews of products that make life easier or ones that don't! My diagnosis so far in more details

 I’ve mentioned Addison’s before but I want to go into more details on what exactly this is. My body stopped making enough of stress hormone called cortisol. Those that know know the last two years I have have to fight for my youngest in what was a never ending battle to get him medically stable. Earlier this year he had a central line and was in and out of the PICU. I find it kind of funny for all things to not work in my body is that fact it’s not making the stress hormone. I joke with my doctors that I used my life supply already!  So cortisol is something my body produces in response to physical and emotion stress on your body. Without it you can go into acres all crisis and slip into a coma and die. It’s not to be taken lightly.   Hello my lovely readers, I thank each and everyone of you for following my epic health journey and supporting me! The last month has been so brutal I finally got my G/j tube and am on tube feeds however I have not made my goal rate yet. I am currently getting about 60% of the calories I need daily from the tube. I am trying a new Kate Farms Formula called Peptide 1.0 in hopes I can get more in that way. My blood levels dropped several times the past two weeks which resulted in hospitalizations, blood transfusions, and iron transfusions. My iron levels are so low I can't make more blood and I am slowly leaking blood somewhere they just can't find it. I will go for more Iron next week.  Mother's Day was the last time it dropped and I began to swell so bad I gained about 15 pounds overnight and it majorly stressed out my heart.
